I HATE pasta!

There. I've said it!
I hate the stuff in any form whether it's spaghetti, lasagne sheets, twists, spirals, anything. Fresh, dried, filled, plain, I don't care.
I HATE it.
So there 😝

I had beautiful tortellini in LA - with a mushroom filling. It was one of the nicest things I've ever eaten. Totally unlike those vacuum packed 'fresh' pasta in supermarkets. It made me totally rethink pasta.

(Though to be fair I love pasta of all kinds). But this was like the difference between wet sandwich ham and proper sliced ham.

If it's slimey, rubbery or tastless then you are doing it wrong! My favourite summer pasta recipes are so quick to make - rocket, tuna, chilli flakes and lemon juice stired through spaghetti is lovely for instance.

Totally agree. I live in Italy and thought I hated tortellini until I realised that fresh tortellini (made by hand so really small are completely different). My children won't touch supermarket fresh filled pasta - would rather just have a plain bowl of penne with a bit of olive oil and parmesan.

I love pasta but due to gluten issues can't eat it or I am I'll afterwards.

I've turned to gluten free pasta. Which cooks in a fraction of the time and doesn't even make you bloaty afterwards. Win win.

Has anyone watched the pasta grannies on you tube and their humongous varieties that they make by hand.

I can take it or leave it, it's all about the sauce for me. My favourite is spaghetti with crab and chilli but I've only had it in restaurants. DH can't eat gluten so we don't have pasta at home often.

@timeforakinderworld, your recipe sounds nice. I may give that a go on a night DH is out. Do you put olive oil in it too?

I hate fussy eaters.

Pasta is such a plain yet versatile food. I wouldn't eat it alone, but cooked properly as a meal, great.

It's like saying I hate sandwiches. All of them, toasted, wrapped, grilled, fresh, any topping, any form.

Can't get on board with this, I love pasta! Silky carbonara in front of the tv - heaven. Also, if you don't like pasta because it's gloopy, you've been cooking it all wrong.

I haven't eaten pasta I years. Don't hate it. Just don't like it enough to justify the carbi-ness of it.

Will eat in in Italy next week no doubt. It'll be worth it then. Same with pizza and bread.

Pasta and tomatoes make up a hefty proportion of my diet :D

Now potatoes... Barf!

@AnnPerkins - a little bit depending on how oily the tuna is. Don't overdo the lemon though, just a little squirt!

Dh "only likes spaghetti" it all tastes the same!

But I HATE pizza....

Can I join the club?! I have tried every kind, I went to Rome and tried it, hated it. More the texture than the taste. Lasagne sheets are bearable but I use tortilla wraps instead of pasta and really enjoy it!

God I wish I had this problem..

I like lasagne but am meh about all the rest. Shame because the family like spat bol most weeks. If you said i never had to eat it again I would be fine with that!

I for one LOVE pasta. Everything I eat has some form of pasta in it. Just love the carbohydrates they taste so yummy.. and I can’t believe ANYONE would HATE pasta..

I also really do not like pasta.

My husband says he doesn't care for pasta like spaghetti, linguine, etc, yet he LOVES lasagna.

I call bullshit.

Are we married to the same man, he hates me serving pasta and point blank refuses to eat it without some sort of meat but yet claims lasagne is one of his favourite meals!

It's very overrated.
If I have an Italian meal out I don't feel it's anything special. (Sorry Italians).
