What Are You Doing Tomorrow?

It is expected to be 32 degrees tomorrow where i am - what are you doing to keep cool?

DD has got her period and wont use the paddling pool / cant go swimming so i cant keep them cool that way ...(no suggestions about tampons / moon cups please)

Thought about keeping cool in the cinema but there is only the Queens Corgi which doesn't interest them .

Curious about what other people are doing 😊

Have purchased a fan that thinks it a jet engine in both noise and wind output, so I’ll be sat in front of that all day, possibly with head phones on clutching my book.

gotmychocolateimgood · 22/07/2019 22:31

Taking the kids to school
Letting the cleaner in
Sitting in the garden until she finishes at 11am
Drawing the curtains and staying indoors with an ice lolly

gotmychocolateimgood · 22/07/2019 22:31

I will collect the children from school too Blush

Youcouldbemysilversprings · 22/07/2019 22:32

Feet in a paddling pool, actually makes you cool down very nicely? We're heading to the beach

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 22/07/2019 22:32

@WoollyMummoth my bedroom fan sounds like a bloody helicopter all night

TheSproutOfWrath · 22/07/2019 22:32

Working a 12 hour shift and totally missing the sun as per bloody usual 😕

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 22/07/2019 22:34

@gotmychocolateimgood yes I have a feeling we will making our way through boxes of ice lollies behind closed curtains , feeding ice lollies to the dog & rabbits too.

Have you seen the lion King. We went yesterday. Its amazing!

But, I digress. Watching with interest as we can't decide what to do tomorrow either. Husband hates too many people and sitting around pointlessly which probably counts out the beach as half the County will be there tomorrow.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 22/07/2019 22:36

Local park with water guns and a picnic blanket in the shadiest spot under the biggest tree I can find.

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 22/07/2019 22:38

@TheSproutOfWrath I empathise. I get uncomfortable swollen ankles in the heat during 12 hour shifts.

Going to the co-op. It's freezing cold in there.

Reindeerssmellbetter · 22/07/2019 22:42

I am also working a 12 hour shift but we have air con so it will be better than being out.

Hadenoughofitall441 · 22/07/2019 22:42

Dc have last day of school, I took the day off to pack as we are going to Disneyland on Sunday and dd doesn’t know so need to do it on the downlow , then pick dc up as it’s DS last day ever in that school so I need to make sure he’s got everything as he’s a forgetful lad. No doubt will spend an extra 20 minutes saying bye to his friends most of which are going to the same high school 😂😂

Hadenoughofitall441 · 22/07/2019 22:43

Then I plan to jump into the pool 😊

Windyone · 22/07/2019 22:45

I’m a ski instructor. I’ll be working in a Snowdome all day at -5 👍🏻

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 22/07/2019 22:49

@FaFoutis tesco is fabulously cool too 😊

Kids at school, I’m at work.

BunnyTeapot · 22/07/2019 23:01

I'm taking DS to a playgroup at the library tomorrow, which will be fine if they close the blind.. however theyve forgotten almost every time and it turns the room into a green house. Then afterwards I'm going to a meditation session which is in a dark dingy room and I'm excited because I know itll be cool in there ... then I'll be at my MILs house in a room that never gets warm and is always freezing and tomorrow I will appreciate.... however if it all gets too much I'll go to the supermarket for an hour like I did today and enjoy the aircon and freezers

AtSea1979 · 22/07/2019 23:03

No idea. DC are at school and I have the day off and not a clue what to do with myself Sad

Gertie75 · 22/07/2019 23:08

Thursday is forecast to be even hotter.

I'm off to our caravan tomorrow until I feel like coming home, the kids can play in the woods and there's a local splash pad.

I feel really sorry for those who have to work outdoors in it.

I bet there will still be some idiot who leaves their dog in the car or walks them during the day.

Lindormilk · 22/07/2019 23:16

Ill be out in it, in my bikini. But up at 6 for a run before it gets too hot.

Its only gona be 26 where i live

Crunchymum · 22/07/2019 23:20

I'm going to work (amazing air con)

Kids will spend the day in granny's shady garden, eating ice pops.

36c predicted here on Thurs. Hideous!!

elephantoverthehill · 22/07/2019 23:23

Sea at 4.00 pm, plot otherwise.

Miljah · 22/07/2019 23:34

Well, we're all going to need strategies, Aren't we?!

Spent many years in Queensland, Aus. Trick was very early out, in by 10am, shade indoors, or air con mall (houses with deep verandah overhang); out at 4 pm again, but dark by 6.30pm ☹️

Swimming pool was great, tho! 😉

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 22/07/2019 23:34

@Crunchymum truly hideous. I literally feel like im cooking from the inside out .
