Mystery Hermes Delivery

I’ve been away and when I got back had a note to say that the Hermes courier had left a parcel by my wheelie bin. This was apparently a fortnight ago and there is no parcel anywhere to be found. I’m not expecting anything so no idea who to chase. The Hermes website says to contact the retailer but if I’m not expecting anything who do I contact? It could possibly be a birthday gift but I just don’t know.

Does anyone have any ideas? I’ve asked the neighbours but they don’t know anything.

Can you not look back through your email and see what you have ordered online that hasn't turned up yet?

Usually they take a picture of where it's been left that should show up on hermes website when you type in the tracking code. Even if you don't recognise the bin/surrounding area you might recognise the packaging? Have you checked? Also they always send me text messages updates on delivery and when I've missed one so if you haven't had any and would have given your number I'd say ignore it, maybe ask family if they've sent anything if its definitely not you or anyone else in your household.

Very odd though, I would have said its probably just been posted to the wrong house but you say you've already spoke to neighbours so obviously not the case

How stupid to put something in someone's bin when they could be off on holiday for a couple of weeks ( so the bins emptied before they get back )

It could be a scam to get you to ring a premium rate phone number. Be wary, op.
