Is it weird to contact previous house owner on FB to let her know a parcel has been delivered for her?

Moved into our new house 2 months ago, a parcel has just arrived for the previous owner - I've found her on FB (it's definitely her - she showed us around the house when we viewed it, so I know what she looks like), would it be weird to message her to let her know it's here? I don't have any other way of contacting her, or a forwarding address.

There's a return address on the parcel but I think she's only moved about a quarter of a mile away, so it seems a bit daft to send it back when she lives so close?

(I'm autistic but generally hide it very well - but I really struggle with etiquette and knowing whether things will be considered weird/creepy - this is one of those things!)

I have done this when I found a dog!

Yes, I think it’s a good idea.

Not creepy at all, I'd message and tell her, nothing wrong with that Smile

It would be a really nice thing to do!

We did similar for the previous owners of our house. They had forgot to change their address.

Perfectly fine!

Thanks so much for all your replies - I'll send her a message now Smile

This happened to us and I went via the estate agent but it had only been a couple of weeks since moving

Not weird at all, I’m sure she’ll appreciate it. I did when my buyers did it for me!

Lovely thing to do! Not weird at all. I recently posted on FB about a letter we received with another name on. Turned out the guy had owned our house years ago and sold it in the 90s. With no return address the letter would have been destroyed. I knew it was the right person because I didn't have to give them the whole address for them to collect it.
