Hair straighteners help please

I'm in the market for a new pair. My hair is shoulder length at the moment but very thick. I have a pair of Andrew Barton ones which are a few years old, they were never GHD good, but got the job done. Now they're not so good, don't leave my hair shiny and within an hour the frizz is back.

Do I want GHDs, or cloud 9's, or do I save myself some pennies and get something else? Remington ceramic ones have good reviews on Argos for a fraction of the price.

Thanks 👍👍

GHDs are shite now, I didn't rate the cloud 9 ones either. I have a pair Remington Pro ones, the best I've used and I've got thick frizzy hair. I've recently discovered a great tip, a pea sized blob of conditioner smoothed through my hair after straightening and then brushed through, keeps it smooth all day

I have some Remington ones I got from Argos and they're better than any I've used. They were about £30

I've just bought the ghd max styler. Never had ghds before.
I've got naturally curly, thick hair.
I think they are great. Pricey at £135 though, but they were reduced a few weeks ago.

My original ghds broke and I decided to get the Remington ones. I hated them! They didn’t work as well, and my hair would get trapped between the plastic and the plates and would snap. Lasted 6 months before I caved and got new ghds.

I've just got some Babyliss straight and curl brilliance straighteners and I'm really impressed. I thought I had to put up with straighteners pulling my hair assuming they all did it but these just glide so smoothly! They're great for curling too.

I got them for £50 from Very but it looks like the price has gone back up now. Think they're on offer elsewhere too.

Loreal steampod, little bit more expensive but worth every penny. I'll never buy a normal straighteners again
