Does anyone else get REALLY anxious before going on holiday?

Off on holiday on Thursday and the feeling of dread/anxiety I always get before I go away has struck. It happens every time I go away. I'll be fine once we're at the airport but the few days before I go are always horrendous.

I'm going on a walk in a minute to try and sort myself out but was wondering if anyone else gets like this?

Yes, but I suffer from anxiety anyway. I’m not so bad about the things I need to do in the run up (like packing, cleaning etc) because I know they are under my control. I don’t even worry so much about getting to the airport on time, flying and landing etc. What I get really anxious about are worrying whether the accommodation will be up to my (ridiculously high) standards, is the pool clean, is the bedding spotless etc. I worry about there being insects in our living area, as I absolutely HATE them... those kind of things. Once I’ve seen it and I’m happy I tend to relax (a little)... 😬

I always worry about it all going ahead smoothly.

Did I book the travel on the right days? Did my hotel booking go through correctly? Will the car breakdown on the way and we will miss the flight/train?

Its not until I am checked in at my final destination that I can start to relax.

I find coming home a lot less stressful, but I think that's because I really want the holiday and will be mortified if it didn't happen, as will the DCs (OK so there are worse things that can happen I know) We will always find our way home.
