What would you outsource...

To make life easier if money was not an issue. I'm not talking mega rich hiring your own live in chef but if you were/are comfortable and have some spare income to make life easier what would you get help with?

So far I'm thinking:

Cleaner
Ironing
Food prep/meal delivery (HelloFresh/Gousto style)
Window cleaner
Gardener (for the harder stuff, I enjoy the the fun bits!)
Maybe a personal trainer to actually motivate me to exercise!

WWYD?

Definitely a cleaner who also washed bedding, I’m the worst at putting duvet covers back on for whatever reason, and someone to do the ironing.

Someone to do bigger decorating jobs or house maintenance we don’t always have time to do.

I find gardening relaxing and enjoy cooking even after a long day and commute.

popehilarious · 22/07/2019 13:08

I'm after the more specific jobs. Someone to put pre-schooler and toddler dc in the car and buggy in the boot.
Someone to drop me off and park my car.

Already have a cleaner and gardener Blush

More or less everything I could afford. Atm we have a lady who cleans, tidies, does ironing, pet care, and has done the odd bit of plumbing. She has offered to do gardening too. She is amazing. Hoping to get a pay rise next year and I will ask her if she would like to do more hours. We’ve also got an outdoor handyman who does grass cuttting, strimming and trimming edges and hedges, and has done stuff in the past like repairing fences and painting outbuildings. Again, with a bit more income I would have him around a few more hours a week.

Cleaner twice a week inc ironing and bed changes.

Handyperson on call 24/7 for any minute task that I need doing. This person can also be the painter and decorator as this would be convenient.

Cars valeted on the drive weekly.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 22/07/2019 13:15

Money's not an issue for us. I outsource the window cleaner and don't iron.

I like cooking and gardening and feel uncomfortable about someone else cleaning for me, so though I don't like it, I do it.

JudgeRindersMinder · 22/07/2019 13:30

I wouldn’t be so bothered about a cleaner, what I’d really like is a tidier!
And a gardener
And an admin person
And definitely a PT to kick my backside!

dustarr73 · 22/07/2019 13:44

If money was no issue i would like a chef. Not even full time,2 or 3 days a week.Justt o give me a break.

Also someone just to brush my hair.Like asmr but only for me.

Time40 · 22/07/2019 13:47

Everything I possibly could!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 22/07/2019 13:55

I would pay my current (occasional) PT to get me out of bed every weekday for an hour. She is awesome!

A helper to do all the dull prep and clearing away after decorating. I don't mind the actual painting, but all the masking and sheeting does my nut in.

Someone to hoover my car every month. Just hate lugging the machine outside and having to try and get all the nooks and crannies. Maybe wash it too, but I'm more focused on the inside as I sit in it!

Someone to file all my bills and stuff rather than letting them stack up on the coffee table.

  • I don't mind meaty work it seems to be all the peripheral bits that annoy me!
formerbabe · 22/07/2019 13:58

Honestly.....childcare.

I'd get a nanny.

I'd love the freedom to go out and do what I wanted knowing I had good quality childcare constantly available.

Nesssie · 22/07/2019 14:00

Cleaner
Dog Walker
Meal delivery i.e gousto/hello fresh
Gardener to do the boring stuff like weeding/mowing the lawn so I can tend to my flowers/veg patch
Hairdresser for nice updos.

MrsExpo · 22/07/2019 19:11

Cooking.... !!!! I flippin’ hate it.

If I’m honest, just the whole cleaning/tidying/looking after the house malarkey. I do rather be doing other things.

puffyeyedsugarmonster · 23/07/2019 10:55

Loving all these.

Massive yes to someone to help with the life admin, bill filing - anyone else just have a huge pile of letters?! Nearly everything is paid by Direct Debit so they're just statements or junk but they pile up and need shredding.

I would love a PT to come and get me up every weekday although I think they'd struggle with how unfit I am!

Also agree RE hair, I've got long, think hair and washing and drying it is such a faff. Wish I could justify getting a salon blow dry every week.

Childcare sounds like a massive help, I don't have kids but if I did I guess that'd be top of the list.

My cleaner does our laundry away and change the sheets and I have a different lady to do the ironing.

Imagine if you were like the queen and had someone to pick out all your outfits and accessories for you so you always looked pulled together. I know lots of people love planning outfits but I always feel I don't get it quite right. I'd like a stylist!
