Recommendations for online timewasting please

In my downtime I like to browse on my phone. I spend most of my time on mumsnet but if I'm honest I'm not really enjoying it anymore. The only other site I look at is BBC news, and that doesn't change much during the day.

I've never really got to grips with reddit although might try it again.
Can anyone recommend some interesting forums/sites to browse?

Do you speak/would like to learn any other languages - I'm Italian but haven't lived there since I was a kid so read Italian womens mags/parenting forums to keep my language skills up.

Instagram...just search for things you are interested in and look at pretty pictures

I have read a lot of Harry Potter fan fiction

Bit niche but I like to read the civil service/office of national statistics reports about current affairs i'm intersted in (not on my phone though, the screen is too small)

I spend far too long on Facebook.

Pinterest is a must.

Quora.com and imgur.com are both worth a browse. There's an awful lot of crap, so it really is browsing.

Reddit's more faff than it needs to be - the conversation system is just terrible (and I like threaded conversations!)

ArsTechnica.com is good if you're geekily inclined.

Twitter is fun as long as you do your follows and mutes very carefully. Instagram too.
