Dress code for handing in documents to new employer?

I've clearly lost all ability to think for myself... Blush

Starting a job in a school (not teacher) in Sept. Obviously I dressed up for the interview but today I have to pop some ID into the office. It's boiling, please tell me I don't have to wear interview clothes again? Could I just wear what I was going to wear today anyway? A top and cropped jeans? I can't can I?

I'd wear trousers and top or smart jeans and blouse/smart top.
I wouldn't personally be going by in with cropped jeans.
Maybe that's just me Smile

They sound fine.
In my school we’d be bemused if you turned up in interview clothes. Provided your everyday clothes are clean and unremarkable I doubt anyone will even notice what you are wearing.

Yeah I had to do this as well when I started in a school, to be honest I really didn't think about it and went in my jeans and a t-shirt, The headmistress was wearing pretty much the same thing as me so don't worry about it.

Glad it was fine.
To be honest in our school we are all so exhausted by the final week you’d have had to turn up in something like bikini bottoms and nipple tassels for anyone to even notice Smile

I became a school governor earlier this year. My first meeting with the clerk of governors to hand in all my paperwork was on my way home from a gym session. In my smelly gym stuff, sweaty hair and red face.

I think smart top and cropped jeans would be fine!!
