I need to find some insect screens

DD2 has ASD and is phobic of insects. She refuses to allow her bedroom window to be opened, no matter how hot it is.

I would like to try an insect screen on her window this week as it's going to be suffocating in her room if she won't have the window open at all.

Please can someone recommend a good one that keeps everything out really effectively?

Following out of interest.

We had one for our French doors which was ok but not nearly wide enough - it attached with sticky Velcro on the sides and had magnets down the middle. I just googled and bought one that wasn’t too expensive.

I tried the Tesa ones that you cut to size for the first time this year. They have hook and grip velcro so easy to lift a bit to open the window and then seal it shut again. They’ve been great! Nothing has got through.

I've ordered the Tesa one. It's a tenner and will arrive this evening. Thanks Smile

I was looking into roller fly blinds as a longer term solution but I can't find one that will fit onto the face of the UPVC opening light. The window is too wide to fit a blind to the whole recess.

No problem. We wanted a similar blind too but our windows are all awkward shapes and it would have been expensive so went the cheap and easy route!

I also have bug phobic dc and we have midge roller blinds from Newblinds , they are not particularly cheap but are very effective .

We got these screens

We got the pet screens as we needed something that would allow us to open upstairs windows last summer without the cats escaping, but they do fly screens too. Quite expensive for what they are but good quality and look unintrusive.
