I ache all over. I'm not sure ache is the right word but my muscles just feel like they need a really really good massage. I'm also really tense a lot of the time and i clench my teeth when i sleep and don't feel refreshed upon waking.

How can I get my body to relax?

Try camomile tea before bed.

Yes camomile tea, or warm milk /cocoa or valerian tea or capsuleS. (Personally I hate the smell of valerian tea..)

Also: i clench my teeth when i sleep and don't feel refreshed upon waking. you can damage your teeth doing this and wake up with jaw pain/headache.

Perhaps see about getting a bite guard fitted by your dentist or try one from Amazon or otherwise online first. Try deep, slow meditative breathing. Try having a pad next to your bed and writing down any chores whirling round in your head do you can do them when you wake up. Have a calm, completely dark place to sleep - no TV or digital devices before going to sleep. Have a proper night time route, eg early-ish dinner, warm bath/shower, lavender essential oil on a tissue in your pillowcase... make sure temperature in your bedroom is appropriate and that your pillow properly supports your head, feet not cold, etc.

I take some magnesium powder mixed in a little juice every night. It's fantastic - you can feel your muscles relaxing. Wonderful stuff.
