8 mo Baby thrashing about before sleep?

DD is 8 months and has begun thrashing about before sleep. Almost looks like she’s fitting? Arches back, kicks feet, rolls head about. But only when quite tired before sleep. I reckon it’s just literal excitement from all she’s learning during the day (crawling, standing, new foods) and she’s just flowing with energy but curious if anyone else baby does this? She’s not unhappy, usually follows a cuddle and her smiling and laughing and trying to play...xx

My 5mth old does that to - I put her down on her back and she spends about 15 mins flailing around, turning 90 degrees and then going over onto her front (which is her preferred sleeping position now).

My 9 month old has done this for a few months now. Think it's his way of getting to sleep somehow, it seems to settle him. I've always just let him get on with it, though he does bang his head on the cot bars a lot🤦

DD used to do this, but she grew out of it.
