I bought a cheap Footner

And it came with two of these. Any ideas?

The normal footner sock bits were in the box as normal but these were there too. I thought maybe they’re supposed to hold the footner socks on but my feet aren’t cloven so they can’t be for that. No mention of them in the rather brief instructions.

@notso By 'repulsed my family' I assume you mean 'had the absolute time of my life peeling off thin layers of skin for two hours in the bath'. Footner makes me so happy!

notso · 22/07/2019 17:32

@QuilliamCakespeare Grin no I never have baths, so repulsed them by soaking and peeling nightly...in the living room!

GemmeFatale · 22/07/2019 17:52

No fake footner in b&m or home bargains Sad

Can someone link to a tried and tested cheapo version on amazon?

quilliam I once got out of the bath a few days after footnering and stepped out of a perfectly intact skin slipper. It was absolutely glorious and I was a tiny bit tempted to keep it.

@notso that's even better - peeling + Netflix = my best life Grin

QuilliamCakespeare · 22/07/2019 21:55

@Holenewme Shhhh, you're making me want to buy another one and it's only 3 weeks since I last did it!

Boohooyouho · 22/07/2019 21:58

Mine recently came with those rubber things. I kind of stretched it around my food with my toes in one of the holes. Helped me to grip the wood floor when the doorbell rang while I was wearing my plastic socks.

Boohooyouho · 22/07/2019 21:58

Or I stretched it around my foot. Not putting it near my snacks

Primark do a cheapy version if it helps. I was disappointed too - there was lots of peeling but the hard skin didn't shift, only the skin which was soft already. I did enjoy the peeling though.

QueeniesPotOfRouge · 22/07/2019 22:03

holenewme are you Celtic?

Roussillon849 · 23/07/2019 05:24

@Sunnysidegold that's exactly what I'm scared off! I think I'll use my chiropody sponge (never used it before either, someone recommend it on here) and save FakeFootner for another time.

FredaFrogspawn · 23/07/2019 05:30

Those peelers do seem to leave your feet more prone to fungal infection afterwards. You need careful foot-care post peel.

Esspee · 23/07/2019 10:03

Can anyone recommend a cheap one? Ideally from a shop but online if not.
Thanks.

www.amazon.co.uk/Lbiotica-Exfoliating-Peel-Foot-Sock/dp/B00NY29K4S/ref=mp_s_a_1_38?s=gateway&keywords=exfoliating+socks&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1563886267&sr=8-38 these are the ones I ordered but they arrived in a completely different box with a pair of tiny latex trousers and an extra pair of socks. I can’t confirm how well they work just yet but I’m having a bath tonight and expecting great things.

queenies no, I’m not Celtic. Do I have Celtic looking feet?

I'm holding off ordering until you report back with your results OP.

What you need is a pet lizard

I thought you might have done but I was clearly mistaken 🙂
