Sorry posting here rather than in travel for traffic.

Im a single mum to 2 boys 4 and 7. I’m thinking of taking them to Efteling in October half term for 3 nights

Was just wondering though whether this will be difficult at all re the rides? My youngest will be nearly 5 but is quite small. Do lots of the rides need 1:1 accompanying? Neither of them like scary/thrill ride particularly anyway but don’t want to get there and hen it be able to go on!

Also is it worth going in October or would it be better to save for the following year May or summer?

Tia!

At 4 & 7 they'll probably be too short to go on the extreme rides. All the others are big enough so you can sit close to each other.

Op I think some you could all sit together but I'd email them in their Facebook messenger they can be specific they will get back to you v quickly to be sure.

I think drumvulcht: fine
Symbolica :fine
De truff :fine

Whale :fine
Bobban if it's still running :fine

Carousels, swing seats all OK.

I imagine it would be really beautiful in October! May would also be good I think uk is only place that has that half term but not 100 sure

Thanks @Knittedjimmychoos and @DisgraceToTheYChromosome - emailing is a good idea, will do that!

It sounds like hopefully there are enough we can do to make it worthwhile.

I’m a single parent and I went last October with my then 5 year old. We had an absolute whale of a time. Most of the rides are very gentle, there’s also a pretty awesome soft play area with a cafe. You can sit three abreast on all the rides that I can think of, so no worries there. You’ll have an amazing time!

Thanks @GirlInTheDirtyShirt! It’s one of those single parent things I’d never had to think of previously!

It will be fine, however some of the rides sit 2 people next to eachother, so I'd imagine the 7 year old might have to sit in the row behind/in front of you.

But there are loads of rides you can all do together sitting on one row.

It is a magical place

Thanks everyone.

Is there any accommodation type at Efteling you would particularly recommend?
