Alternatives to Interflora

Need to send some flowers but ideally less expensive than Interflora.
Have used M&S once before but was not impressed, so I'd be very grateful for recommendations.

Just ring an independent florist in the area you want to send them to.

MmeBufo · 21/07/2019 13:58

Yes, ringing a local independent florist close to where you want the flowers delivered is the thing.

Leakinglikeacolander · 21/07/2019 14:12

I don't know a daisy from a dahlia though so I wouldn't know what to get?

Yes, call a local independent florist & give them a budget & a colour scheme. You'll get much more for your money going direct.

imsorryiasked · 21/07/2019 14:16

Yes as per PPs - the end florist gets so little money from the amount you pay interflora you could get something from an independent for half the price and still have a nicer tribute.
My office often takes delivery of mail order flowers and they are without exception shit.
The only place I've ever had a good result is
Bloom & Wild.

Another vote for bloom and wild

NannyR · 21/07/2019 14:18

I had some delivered by bloom and wild for my birthday. They came in a box that fit through my letterbox and when I opened them they looked quite wilted, but within 10 minutes of being in water they perked up. They were a lovely display and lasted ages.

Redtartanshoes · 21/07/2019 14:22

Bloom and wild. Loads of discount codes about too

QuackersMooo · 21/07/2019 14:28

If you go direct to florist you will get better value for your money.
They are likely to ask what occassion the flowers are for.
Your budget
If you have a colour preference.
Are you looking to order bouquet or an arrangement

Not necessarily in that order and you don't need to know anything about flowers

AtlasObscura · 21/07/2019 14:29

Bloom and Wild, they last ages too!

Cazziebo · 21/07/2019 14:30

Local florist or www.bloomandwild.com

I've used Bloom and Wild many, many times and everyone has been delighted. They send the flowers with some in bud and some in flower so the bouquet lasts a long time.

Toddlerteaplease · 21/07/2019 14:33

Bloom
And wild or Moonpig.

OtraCosaMariposa · 21/07/2019 14:34

You don;t need to know about flowers. You just ring the florist, tell them the budget and the occasion and let them decide.

Stompythedinosaur · 21/07/2019 15:12

I agree, Google a local florist. When I have done this they have been very helpful.

OccasionalNachos · 21/07/2019 15:14

Bloom and Wild are fab, but if you find an independent florist nearby then that would be better

chrisrobin · 21/07/2019 15:35

Independent florists are great but if you can't find one I would recommend Waitrose flowers, their sunflowers in particular have been hits with my relatives. Bloom and Wild are also great and last well

PrincessMonacoOfKent · 21/07/2019 15:55

I've used Bunches a lot. They too have a range that will go through the letterbox.

On one occasion the flowers took longer than expected to arrive and they replaced them, no question, but otherwise the recipients have been extremely happy with them.

Boredofblueskythinking · 21/07/2019 15:57

Serenta- deliver them in a really sturdy box and great value for money- oh and cashback via Quidco Smile

Nikhedonia · 21/07/2019 16:01

I've been really pleased with Serenata flowers.

Good deals and upgrade options.
