Anyone had a problem with 3D films?

I went to see Lion King 3D today. It was the same price as 2D so thought why not.

I spent the entirety of the film with my 3D glasses off as all I could see on top of the film was green like filter.

No one else seems to have complained but, i was wondering if anyone has had any problems before?

I do wear glasses full time due to fact that I am blind as a bat without them.

Neither me or DD2 can watch 3D movies.

I see it in triple vision with the main picture sort of overlaid with a green & a red version.

We both wear specs with a very high plus prescription but so does DD1 & she sees it fine

WomanLikeMeLM · 20/07/2019 19:39

I do not seem to notice any difference between 3D or 4D.

Soubriquet · 20/07/2019 19:40

I haven’t seen them in years but when I did it used to give me a headache

I’m sure it’s improved to what it was but I don’t want to risk it. Cinemas are expensive as it is without risking being unable to watch it

DH has a divergent squint and cannot watch 3D films.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that other eye conditions also made it impossible

My dd is long sighted and doesnt have binocular vision so can't see the 3D effects

WitchDancer · 20/07/2019 20:30

I have tried a couple of 3D and just can't watch them. They make me very nauseous and I get a major headache.

Littlemissengineer
I was told this week DD has the same and would not enjoy a 3D film

pastapestoparmesan · 20/07/2019 20:35

They give me blinding headaches. Apparently it’s because I have one very dominant eye.

pastapestoparmesan · 20/07/2019 20:37

That sounds weird - I do actually have TWO eyes, one of which is very dominant! I’m not Cyclops!

Wereonabearhunt · 20/07/2019 20:37

I have bad astigmatism and 3D ia awful for me. Its like two images that dont quite line up so ones just a horrid greenish hazy shaddow

Binforky · 20/07/2019 20:40

I cant watch them as they give me a blinding headache so I end up watching without the glasses which is crap. Dont have any eye problems.

iMatter · 20/07/2019 20:52

I can't watch 3D films

I have all kinds of issues with my eyesight (but almost perfect vision with my gas permeable lenses) and as a result I cannot cope with 3D

It literally makes me feel sick and I always have a migraine the following day

Verite1 · 20/07/2019 20:56

Make me dizzy. I hate them.

cloudyinjune · 20/07/2019 21:01

Not everyone can actually see the 3D in those. When I was at uni we had to use special equipment to look at 3D maps and a small % of students couldn't see the 3D images.

TeapotofTerror · 20/07/2019 21:27

At least those bloody magic eye pictures aren't fashionable anymore, I could never see the fucking things!

carsleyladiessociety · 20/07/2019 23:19

Massive migraine trigger here- Ive got a fairly interesting prescription and no 3d vision which probably explains a lot. Why do those glasses never fit over pre-existing gasses????

Kids have learnt not to drag me into 3d films.
