I NEED comfortable high heels

Please help! I need them for work and just can’t find any. I suspect it’s only a matter of time before I break a leg trying to speed walk in heels I can’t manage! They must be black leather, with a slightly oval or squared toe - and comfortable. I’ve tried all the usual high street places. I think I probably need a wide option to encompass my nicely developing bunions :) Any suggestions? Tia.

Clarks
I have small bunions and find the Clarks shoes are cut high enough not to rub and they have a nice size heel to feel a bit more elegant but not tottering

Something like these any good?

HelpIHaveNothingToWear · 19/07/2019 21:08

Gabor is an amaaaazing brand for comfortable, stylish, good quality high heals. I have several pairs (mostly nubuck and suede) in brown and black and they last YEARS and I always get so many compliments! Well worth the money!

I find M&S wide fit foot glove court shoes are comfortable. I used to have their stilettos ankleboots - high heeled but so very comfortable because of extra width and cushioning that I could walk all day in them.

Another vote for M&S! Their black suede heels are so comfy.

I find Dune fit a bit wider and usually have a good range of mid height heels.
I’ve also heard dance shops are a good place to look...

Another ore for m&s here too! I need wide feet too and they’re heels are the only ones I find comfortable

Lawnerd · 19/07/2019 21:12

Oh thank you all. Off to investigate :)

Is it a uniform rule? Nightmare!

SadieContrary · 19/07/2019 21:18

Geox heels. I can do a 12 hour shift in them no problem

I second Sole Bliss, knocks everything else out the park

Comfiest shoes in the world!

I find it pretty appalling that some employers are still requiring women to wear heels tbh, given they are known to be bad for your body and uncomfortable for many. Lobby to be allowed to wear flats?

Lawnerd · 19/07/2019 21:42

Yes it’s a uniform requirement. I think changes are afoot though (pardon the pun) :)

Identify as a man and wear sensible comfortable shoes?

Lawnerd · 19/07/2019 21:56

I’ve gone for the Geox’s. Thanks so much for suggestions - here’s hoping!

This thread is brilliant. I am going to buy some Geox and some Gabor. Just what I've been looking for. Especially the Gabor sandals - they are so lovely!
