My husband ate a sweet he found in our daughter's car. He feels extremely disorientated and unwell now. It m ay not be linked at all, but we have suddenly thought could the sweet have actually been a drug? Totally shocked, praying it isn't. Does anyone recognise these? Thanks so much.

Needed to know first. Daughter could easily have lied. (She has form.) That ok for you?

Oh op-I'm glad he is ok.
(Maybe you will see the slightly funny side to it later on-assuming it's cannabis sweets which are legal and as we've seen fairly harmless, rather than crack or something more sinister).

LoseLooseLucy · 19/07/2019 14:25

That ok for you?

I suppose it'll have to be Grin

TheoriginalLEM · 19/07/2019 14:30

"Half man half Labrador" ....wins the thread!

Sagradafamiliar · 19/07/2019 14:31

All well that ends well, glad your DH's druggy phase was short-lived. What a great dinner party tale!

Jazzorchid · 19/07/2019 14:42

Glad your DH is okay OP. Sorry you've had to endure all the piss-taking. There are some of us who just are genuinely interested to hear what it turns out to be. Hope it goes as well as it can this evening Thanks

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 19/07/2019 14:47

I am horrified and disgusted that she has taken drugs

It was weed sweets, not meth. I mean, you drink alcohol, right? Drink coffee?

AbsoluteFannyOfAWoman · 19/07/2019 14:49

Aaaaahah she has form for lying...think you should search her bedroom. Please send photos of unidentified objects.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 19/07/2019 14:55

Please send photos of unidentified objects.

And don’t swallow them.

Patroclus · 19/07/2019 15:09

So are we still pretending they're 'weed sweets' or what?

StCharlotte · 19/07/2019 15:19

is now experiencing a profound sensation of inner peace, warmth, comfort and empathy and wants you to stroke his hair while he chain smokes menthols and tells you how much he loves you then it’s almost definitely MDMA.

Ah, you were there in '89 as well...

StCharlotte · 19/07/2019 15:23

I'll tell you who does it that... Someone who ALREADY has the munchies!

Snort!

See what I did there?

AllSweetnessAndLight · 19/07/2019 15:24

Can we bring it to a close now?
Fair enough @missmouse101. I have reported your post to MNHQ to see if they can help you. I hope everything goes well tonight. As a parent, drug use is always a big concern. There is always a worry about getting addicted or moving onto harder drugs. Flowers

Knittedjimmychoos · 19/07/2019 15:28

Op do try and see funny side, it's perfectly normal thing to do i usually bring everything to mm first.

He's not in danger he's alive and well, all is well.

AbsoluteFannyOfAWoman · 19/07/2019 15:42

@missmouse101 killjoyHmm

StCharlotte · 19/07/2019 15:47

I take it you told the hospital she might have lied?

In which case they really had no idea what he took or the strength? And they let him go home after a quick check?

taylorowmu · 19/07/2019 15:59

So who identified it?

The triage nurse?

NoisyNeighbour · 19/07/2019 16:01

Mumsnet is an odd place to ask, first and foremost, in a potentially dangerous situation, no?

Why ask Frank, when you can ask MN.

InsertFunnyUsername · 19/07/2019 16:03

You wouldn't be in this position if your DH didn't eat random stuff found in a car - maybe teach him the "DROOOOOOP IT" Command.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 19/07/2019 16:08

Weed sweets?
Where did she get them - asking for a friend.... Wink

DoYouNeedAWee · 19/07/2019 16:10

Just rtft and this is why I love Mumsnet, what a shame the op doesn't have a sense of humour though

HeadintheiClouds · 19/07/2019 16:11

Do they stock them in Tesco?
