If you live in America - would you feel safe publicly criticising Trump if you weren't sure who was listening?

Just wondering if things have got that bad yet, after the recent rally Sad I know one of the women who accused him of rape now sleeps with a loaded gun by her bed.

Very good question. If I had any American friends I'd be asking that of them too!

I know I wouldn't if I lived there. We're actually going there on holiday next August, and I'll be having a quiet chat with DS7 (who thinks Trump is hilarious). Hopefully I'm being alarmist, but better safe than sorry.

I regularly criticize Trump in public to my husband. We live in a high Trump vote area. We just live in a small ish town and I dont really hear other people talking politics much.

I live in the US. In a conservative area. And I feel perfectly safe voicing criticism. It’s not a totalitarian state!

I’ve got some family in philly and San Diego and they are openly and comfortably scathing about trump.

I lived in the states for several years, so I have loads of American friends on fb. Both sides are very vocal and there have been some huge arguments but both sides obviously feel comfortable voicing their opinions.

I live near Chicago. People are openly scathing about him in public
