Feeling proud I kept my cool

Dd just turned 4. Doing a bit of shopping in tesco and have to get something that shares an aisle with the toys. Dd has been pretty demanding recently and I'm trying my best to teach her not to be greedy. Today we've been into town and I've bought her some new shoes, sunglasses and a magazine. I'm a single mum and don't often have money to spare.
Anyway, in tesco she asks for a toy, I say no you've had lots of new things today. She starts crying and shouting she wants it. I say no again and continue walking to finish shopping. She stands in front of the trolley screaming at me. I don't shout, I just keep walking and go and pay for the shopping. She throws herself on the floor so I pick her up and carry her to the car. All the while shes screaming and kicking. I manage to get her home and she calms herself down and has a cuddle and is now playing nicely.
Just wanted to share this to show that even when you're struggling you can keep your cool and you dont always have to give in to tiny dictators.
And believe me I dont always keep my cool and I do usually give in for an easy life!
