I sound so ridiculous. The culprit is 19 month old DS.

I went to get him out of the bath this morning before work and he had one of his tantrums that newly involve a cry like he's been really hurt.

I then when to pick him up against his will and he slammed down the shower curtain on my elbow. We have one of this glass ones that folds up.

I'm at work now and it still feels like bloody agony if I touch it or rest it on a desk. It's so sore.

There's no need to get it checked out, is there? I feel really silly.

Sounds like there might be a small chip or crack...

Any bruising?

WingBingo · 18/07/2019 08:46

See your gp

I whcjed my elbow on a door frame ages ago. It was bloody agony. Later that day it was still hurting so much I went to a&e as I thought I’d chipped it.

I was told that I had hit the unknot nerve (think funny bone) and it can be very painful as the nerve is very sensitive.

The pain went after a couple of days.

Ruddy well hurt though!

There is a bit of bruising yes.

Cannot get hold of GP appointment until next week unfortunately.

I'm quite a hard nut so surprised at how painful it is Grin

You have a walk-in centre nearby?

MrsMozartMkII · 20/07/2019 07:14

How is it?

Marvinmarvinson · 20/07/2019 07:16

Don't go to your gp with an injury. You need a minor injuries unit or A&E if you suspect a break. Is it any better today? If its worse then I'd get it checked.

treathertokeepher · 20/07/2019 08:50

Thanks all for checking up xx

It's still really sore but nothing compared to when it happened.

When my arm is bent I can't really feel anything but it's when I put it straight into the anatomical position that it's painful and/or if I use to with pressure such as using my arm to enter a code onto work doors that are securely locked. It hurts when I punch the numbers in.

But nothing like when it first happened/first 24 hours

So have you had it checked...?
