Filter for dust allergy. Worth it?

Ds aged 13 has just been diagnosed with a dust allergy. Main symptoms are swollen eyes particularly on waking and cold symptoms. We're getting allergy covers for his bedding and I've wet dusted everything in his room today, pulled all the furniture out, decluttered etc. All good. Obviously have to keep up with wet dusting, hovering at least twice a week as advised by the Dr.

I'm reading on the internet that some people recommend getting an air filter for the bedroom.

Does anyone, particularly someone with a child with a dust allergy recommend one? Hopefully not so expensive. Or would it be a waste of money and not make a difference?

Thanks in advance. Just posting on Chat for traffic.

I also recommend the one Soola has linked. I have a dog allergy and so suffered when someone had a hearing dog at work. This runs next to me while I'm in the office and I have no symptoms now at all.

I'm so tempted however that's expensive

@FluffyCloudsInTheSky

It has a two year warranty so even if it only lasted two years then that’s only £3.33 a month!

I’ve got two and they’ve lasted much longer.

They work and they’re excellent value for money.

We have a Phillips air filter in my room and eldest DC. Over £300, pretty effective but not perfect. We have dust and pollen allergies which are bad enough to disrupt sleep and making our bedrooms much more allergen free with these does allow decent sleep.
