Ds’s pissy trainers

Ds has a pair of sketchers lights trainers with flashing heals.
He has had a massive accident at the child minders and they are soaked in wee. Does anyone have any idea how to clean them?
I am tempted to chuck them on a quick wash in the machine but he loves the flashing and am worried that they might stop working.

If they're still flashing after being drenched in wee, I'd give it a chance in the machine.
They'll be ruined anyway if you can't wash them.
Or hand wash.

Just hand wash them unless you just try a short wash with no spin like a wool cycle.

I'd dunk them in water/soap/Milton upside down so they're full of water but the sole is clear. Then when they're dry put bicarbonate in.

Thank you for the ideas. Will try dunking and bicarb first and wash them fully if that doesn’t work. Urgh. Envy
