Has anyone been to Lake Garda recently? Cash or prepaid Euro card?

Also hoping to go to Venice for the day, so the card would be loads easier.

Any other tips welcome Grin

I would take a bit of both! The ice cream and bottled water sellers didn't take cards last time I was there. The Halifax Clarity card doesn't charge, and has a perfect exchange rate and is always recommended by Martin Lewis. It's a credit card and you can use it to get cash from an ATM as well (small daily charge on cash transactions, so pay off in full as soon as possible) - I always take it and about £100 in euros when going to Europe.
