Really boring reheating question!

I’ve just started a batch cook chilli. It was going beautifully, bar a mishap with the smoked paprika. I’ve just gone to the cupboard to get tinned tomatoes and I have none 😭.

Do I let it cool and add the tomatoes to each portion? I can’t reheat it with tomatoes and then reheat the portions again. Can I?!

It’s still cooking now. I added the little bit of water I would normally add with the tomatoes, covered it and left it on a low heat.

To be honest, if it was me, I'd add some water and stock and just put it as low as possible/turn it off altogether. If you leave the lid on it, it will retain heat. Then just carry on once you've got the tinned tomatoes, making sure you bring it all up to boiling temperature.
