Do you use a VPN?

Just that really. If you do why do you and would you recommend others to? If you have actively chosen not to, why?

I do light(ish!) browsing, but wonder if it is a good idea to have a VPN as I don't trust companies or potentially future governments with my data.

Also, is there a tech board?

Ive used one for years torrent sharing and just having a general poke around the internet world and how it's presented in various countries. You used to be able to watch streaming TV like Hulu in the US or watching BBC whilst abroad but more and more are blocking the unknown traffic so you can't use them.
