Ok so please be patient - I have pretty bad health anxiety so can be a bit ... odd

10 days ago when on holiday I got sickness and Diarrhea- really bad Diarrhea and slight temp it lasted mainly 24 hours but have had a sore stomach and Diarrhea on and off since BUT i have IBS. No appetite for 6/7 days. Initially thought might’ve been caused by swimming in lagoon (which is man made)

8 days ago dd (8) started vomiting and was really bad for one day then went 48 hours without sickness and then was sick, went 36 hours and then was sick on Saturday morning. Touch wood nothing since. Appetite slowly returning. No major Diarrhea.

Thought ds (12) and dh had missed it but ds vomited twice on Sunday, was pretty much fine yesterday, but quiet and nauseous today and then has just vomited copiously more than 48 hours since last time. Pretty sure no Diarrhea at all. So far!

Dh now has Diarrhea vv badly too.

My worries / questions are

1/ can we reinfect each other? Because if so wtaf am I going to do?!? I’m already using bleach and washing hands all the time and wiping everything down.

2/ should I be worried about how long this is taking to go away?

3/ any experience / advice because I am emetephobic and has been dealing with it ok and now I’m freaking out because I’m worried how we are ever going to get rid of it

You can't reinfect each other - you can't recatch the same virus

Some tummy bugs do just take ages to go away and sometimes seem to improve then come back
