Budapest - Street Noise?

Hi all,
Booked a trip to Budapest in October and looking for recommendations! (We are staying on Rákóczi út street which im now worrying might be quite noisy as its a main road - not the end of the world but still)

Going for our anniversary. We like food Grin (my main priority in any new city) are not fussed about staying out all night partying (prefer a good meal and a leisurely gin and people watching) and we're up for pretty much anything sightseeing wise!

Suggestions very gratefully received. Smile

I went 4 years ago and really loved it OP and I think you’ll be fine with the traffic noise.

It’ll be perfect for your anniversary, I found it to be a really romantic city, I have great memories of that trip.

Things to do:

• Visit Parliament
• Take a bike tour. So much more fun than a bus tour
• The Baths
• St Stephen’s Basilica (great snogging opportunity at the top)
• House of Terror (I didn’t go but I hear it’s very good)
• National Museum
• Hungarian National Gallery (lovely views too!)

And in terms of food there are so many options, we spent a night at Oinos, we had some small plates and a load of cocktails. Stumbled out of there pissed and then went to the best burger place I’ve ever been to called Burger love.

Definitely try out the Hungarian offerings, they are divine. And the bakery’s too! Ooh and try the Chimney cake.
