Heart palpitations tonight , should I be worried?

Have had heart palpitations for years and years and had a stress test, 72 hour monitor and echo last year - plus dozens of other ecgs - all normal , benign PVCs and PACs apparently .

Usually triggered by anxiety, stress, big meals, adrenaline, heartburn , bending over . They cause anxiety in themselves so bit of a vicious cycle .

Being blunt I was DTD tonight and felt quite a few flutters at the heat of the moment, although no dizziness or anything . Feel fine now and trying to convince myself if it was a problem I’d have felt much worse, surely ? I don’t want to phone 111 and have to explain why they came on ... I’m just a bit worried .

If you've had all the tests done recently for palpitations and you feel fine now then I wouldn't worry too much. Do you wear a heart rate monitor such as a fitbit etc? If your heart rate goes really high when you feel these flutters then it may be worth getting it checked out as this may be SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) or other abnormal rhythms, but if your heart rate is normal and it passes quickly then I wouldn't worry too much. I have experienced the same in the past and also had lots of tests done. Mine was due to anxiety and stress. Sometimes I randomly feel a flutter but I don't worry about it. If it keeps happening randomly then it may be worth going back to the doctors.
