Anyone got the train recently?

Hi! Posting for traffic.
Has anyone got the train with a pram recently? East Midlands if any relevance. My baby is 8 weeks I can take him in the car seat on the pram as I know this is easier for space. But how do I get on? Where do I park? I have googled the shit out of this and cannot find any answers or anyone who has recently done it with a pram! Especially alone! Thanks everyone

I only have done it with dh. We took lo when two weeks on the train we used the pram attachment however we lifted it on and it wasn't very safe so second time we used the car seat attachement. There are spaces for prams there are stickers on the train doors. Trains have ramps for wheelchairs and such you need to get a conductor to put it down for you although I don't know how you do this

Never been on a train that had a gap so wide that getting the pram on was any kind of issue. Even then I've often had people offer to help.

If no wheelchair user is on the train you can use that space. Otherwise just put the brake on near the door and be prepared to move out of the way at each stop.

Which route are you using? Commuter trains are much easier to get on than Intercity trains.

The staff at our local (commuter) station are happy to point out where on the platform the buggy spaces will stop, and even pop a ramp down if I'm traveling alone.
