Matched betting

So I’m considering giving matched betting a go to get a few extra quid. I understand how it work on a basic level, but does anyone have any tips or books I could read or websites to look at to help me understand it more before I have a go?

Also does anyone on here do it and how much honestly do you make?

I am considering same...there is a massive ongoing thread on here about it, I'd search that out!

Look at Teamprofit website and their Facebook page.

Team profit have a newbie Facebook page which is really useful.

I agree with pp about team profit. it talks you through it step by step with video guides to everything and week by week guides. Their Facebook group is really helpful too and it's all free. I started with £25 and have completed the first 2 weeks and now have £74! it hardly takes any time and as your pot grows you start making more money as you can bet higher amounts on higher odds.

I signed up with Profit Accumulator. I think they run the team profit FB page. Really easy to follow videos, put a couple of hundred in and made a couple of hundred profit, then to be honest I got bored of it. It's definitely not a get rich quick scheme, but on another forum I go to there's people making a few thousand pounds a year. I also set up a separate bank account to keep things separate, Starling are super easy to set up an account with.

I'd also say go slow at first, very easy to make expensive mistakes as you work out how different sites work.

Team profit are very user friendly and non frightening. You'll also probably need a subscription to oddsmonkey or similar to find and calculate you bets and lays.
It might not be as profitable as the boasty posts make out and at first the profits build slowly until you have a decent bank but it does work.

Junobug · 15/07/2019 19:30

Yep, Team Profit FB page is brilliant. They have videos that are a completely idiot proof. I'd also recommended joining odds monkey as you easily make back your £16 a month.
I've made about 4k this year, very part time. Lots of people make a lot more if they put the time in.

McMole · 15/07/2019 20:35

I've made around 40k from it, but the offers are getting poorer and I don't have many bookies left now! Oddsmonkey is a good place to start with videos and comprehensive new account offers laid out for you.

I make a decent income from it. At least equivalent to a part time job, some months a lot more.

I personally use Profit Accumulator, but am also a member of the Odds Monkey fb pages. You definitely need a subscription service, either of those will do the same job.

On Profit Accumulator start with the signs ups and work your way through in order. But I would probably save some of the higher wager/deposit offers until you are confident and have a decent bank.

Look at it initially as an easy way to make £300/400. Then you will know what's involved to make a steady income. Follow every video step by step, don't get cocky after a few sign ups and think you don't have to follow it as each offer can be slightly different and mistakes can be expensive.
