I have had my mirena coil fitted for around 16 months, I had a period a first few months after having it inserted and then nothing for around a year which was great, however 3 weeks ago I started bleeding. Im a bit confused as I was under the impression that any side effects happen within 3-6 months so now worried about what this could be? Have made an appointment to have it removed in a few weeks (due to other side effects) I dont want to waste time with a gp appointment if this is normal can somebody please advise?
