Weird menopause symptoms

I am perimenopausal and such weird stuff is happening to me- but I don't know if I am connecting it too much. First- my hands and feet have little peeling patches on (not painful and keeping at bay with mega hand/foot cream) and this is TMI but every morning I am having loads of wind! it's not noisy or smelly thank god for my poor DP but I wake up and it literally rolls out of me FOR AGES, like it has stored up all night. I have no pain, smell or change in diet so I am not too bothered but I tentatively mentioned it to my friend (I am normally very prudish) She's older than me and said she's had the exact same plus some other weird things when she went through the menopause- so what else do I have in store???

I never had anything like that.

Sounds more like irritable bowel.

hmm don't think it's that- am in very good health- maybe am connecting where no connection is

Dry, itchy, peeling skin and digestive discomfort are both fairly common perimenopausal symptoms.... everyone is different so it’s hard to predict what other symptoms you might experience. For me it was joint pain and anxiety. I thought I was managing ok until I just stopped sleeping altogether ( insomnia another symptom). That I could not cope with and HRT has been a total life saver for me, although I realise it’s not for everyone! And keep talking to your friends. I found that most of my friends of a similar age were experiencing much the same!
