Charm bracelet - not Pandora

My lovely nan sadly passed away this year, and has left me some money. I'd like to get a nice piece of jewelery to remember her, possibly a charm bracelet.. I already have a few rings, a fitbit and a Tiffany necklace my husband bought me last year which I wear all the time so I only have room left for a bracelet 😂. I don't like the Pandora style with beads, plus I'd like something slightly more unusual. Can anyone recommend something? I don't want tonnes of charms either, just a couple to start with then if I want to add to it later I can but I don't want it to be too "busy". Thank you 😊

Just buy a bracelet with large enough links to add charms. Get a jeweller to silver solder them on.

Thomas Sabo?

The White Company does really nice ones. I don't like Pandora either.

Thanks for your suggestions. Thomas Sabo ones are beautiful! I will try and get into town to John Lewis to see them before I buy.

Couldn't see any charm bracelets on the white company site but they do have some pretty pieces. Chamilia seem to be very similar to Pandora.

Nomination braclets are very popular round these parts. You can build your collection of 'charms' without the jangly nature of tradi charm bracelets.

Op I am in exactly the same situation. I've been looking for 2 years but haven't found anything I like. I too hate Pandora.
Actually was chatting to my dm yesterday about this and she suggested a little independent jewellers might be a good place to look.

I second thomas sabo. I prefer them to pandora as I find pandora quite chunky. You can get some bracelets where only a couple of charms can fit on.

Second Nomination. I have a chamillia that's absolutely heaving with Star Wars charms. I rarely wear it as it's big and heavy and frankly gets in the way.
DD bought me a Nomination for my birthday last year and I wear it all the time. The nice thing is, you start with a blank bracelet and replace the blanks with charms. When you've finished you then have an empty blank bracelet to start all over again.

Another one coming on to say Thomas Sabo. Great quality and the charms are beautiful.
Whatever you do though, take the charms to a jewellers and have them soldered to the bracelet rather than just clipped, it keeps them more secure.

AllGoodDogs · 15/07/2019 14:43

Thanks again! Will check out nomination and will look in to getting them soldered on 👍👍

@AllGoodDogs you can have links engraved with Nomination as well so could have one dedicated to your nan

for a silver charm bracelet you will get better quality and versatility if you look in jewellers that sell second hand ones and will be cheaper and stronger than flimsy fashion ones

Hot Diamonds!!!

AllGoodDogs · 23/07/2019 12:35

Thanks for your suggestions, I went with Thomas Sabo. Got a beautiful bracelet with a TS ring charm, plus 2 little hearts charm and one with my nan's citrine birthstone. I absolutely love it 💕

That's lovely @AllGoodDogs I love the birthstone charm for your nan, it's beautiful.

I have a gold bracelet and many charms now built up over the past 6 years or so. I am fussy about the charms and tend to veer towards the more expensive end of things (story of my life!) but it is worth a lot of money now!
I wear it going out but not in work as it annoys me when I'm typing etc but I really really love it. DH has bought me 99% of the charms - some as gifts from dd too. I love the clip on charms as you can change them around and you can use the charms on a necklace too!
Enjoy your bracelet and the birthstone is very sweet

TantricTwist · 23/07/2019 13:09

That's a lovely chunky bracelet OP. Good choice.
