A picture has appeared under my bed. Neither me or DH think it's ours. Wtf?

We're moving house. DH said to me, what do you want to do with the pictures under the bed?
I had no idea what he was on about. I never put pictures under the bed.

Sure enough, 7am this morning he drags out two dusty old frames from under the bed. I've never seen them in my life. One of them had a charcoal drawing of a woman called Rachel.
I've never clapped eyes on it before.

DH says they aren't his. He thinks I've lost my marbles and have a shit memory.

But I swear I've never seen them before. The picture was made in '92. I was 10.

How the fuck did they get there?!

When I moved in 5 years ago there were no pictures here. No other adults have stayed here and I know he kids wouldn't come up with massive frames with glass and a picture of a naked woman.

How did this happen?!

Surely nobody's really called Norbert? apart from Norbert Dentresangle Must be an alias!

Just read the whole thread and I need to know what is going on here. This is both hilarious and really freaky!

@CatkinToadflax The irony of Norbert being Norbert was that he changed his surname to Lynton (he had a more ethnic surname originally) but left the Norbert as it was.

I don’t think it’s two people spooning, it’s definitely just a woman from the back.

LYNTON, John
1869-1892

Lynton was a charcoal artist from Sussex who created many landscape sketches during his short life. He was murdered in 1892 by a man called Thomas Johnson after Johnson discovered he had been having an affair with his wife, Rachel. Rachel committed suicide shortly afterwards and is said to haunt the Sussex coast where she grew up. It is rumoured Johnson discoverd his wife's affair with Lynton upon finding a nude portrait of his wife under their marital bed, however, the existence of this supposed portait remains a mystery.

This so needs to go into classics!

Yes sorry DH referred to 'them' as pictures. So I did.

It's actually two frames but just one picture.

I've messaged my Mum and MIL. If they don't recognise it then I've no idea.
