Been listening to him on YouTube and I think he speaks a lot of truth

OP posts:

Ben Shapiro is an angry gnome. A witless gnome at that.

CalamBalam · 14/07/2019 19:31

Peterson is fueled by his hatred of women. Whadda guy!

Bookworm4 · 14/07/2019 19:33

Why do women admire men who are bullying misogynists? You don’t need a man to tell you to get your life in order? Seriously @Lardlizard give yourself a shake 🙄 It’s hardly groundbreaking the crap these guys dribble.

RosaWaiting · 14/07/2019 19:39

I actually don’t know what Peterson says about other things, tuned him out after hearing his views on women like me. I see a lot of women reading his books on my commute. I can’t listen to the YouTube waffle to hear any theory though.

CalamBalam · 14/07/2019 19:42

He eats beef at every meal. Beef for breakfast, beef for lunch, beef for dinner. Plain beef. No vegetables.

Beef.

Patroclus · 14/07/2019 19:42

The life is suffering stuff is a direct quote from Nietzsche, which he regularly likes to misinterprate (despite being very big on Christianity ruling over us). Of course, the idea of a anti-semitic ( and if you you dont see Kermit's Anti semitism you as a result dont actually understand him)ultra conservative misusing Nietzsche to rant about supposed weaknesses between races and sexes has never gone wrong...

The actual quote, that he tries to pass off as his own- ''To live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering.''

The man regularly tries to excuse the nazis FFS. The actual nazis and hitler- im not talking about 'antifa are the real fascists' moronic bullshit.

Look up 'cultural marxism' and 'globalism' if you dont understand his coded antisemitism.

And his idiotic remarks on the Shoah-

CalamBalam · 14/07/2019 19:46

His 'enforced monogamy' ideas are simply charming.

After reading his rage at a 4 year-old neighbour's child for not enjoying a “tickle fight” with him, I find Peterson pretty creepy.

(Long article: this bit's a little more than halfway down, starts PETERSON: Mother made some pancakes for Billy... and ends with the image of the finish line. www.currentaffairs.org/2018/03/the-intellectual-we-deserve )

Among the things that stood out were:
a) Peterson being so angry at the 4-year-old for not smiling;
b) that he turned his feelings round into a character flaw of the child and made bizarre accusations against the mother;
c) that he gilded that lily by presenting himself as the child's saviour;Shock
d) that he was so completely un-selfaware that he actually boasted of his behaviour.

Can you imagine the MN thread if a mother having a childcare crisis had been helped out by a kind neighbour – only to discover the neighbour's husband saying things like this?Shock

The whole thing was incredibly reminiscent of men who tell women to smile, and get angry when women answer back. Also of men who make women responsible for men's behaviour.

It makes me wonder how much else of his work is actually a sublimation of his rage against a woman or child who has dared fail to please him.

PerkingFaintly · 15/07/2019 21:49

Here's a little of what I'm talking about.

(I've selected because Peterson's so verbose you can actually die waiting for him to get to the point, but people always whine that he's been taken out of context so here's the link again:
www.currentaffairs.org/2018/03/the-intellectual-we-deserve )

the neighbor was looking for someone to take care of the child because her nanny had been in a car accident and couldn’t take care of the child temporarily.
[...]
So I’m poking this kid and trying to get him to, smile but there’s no damn way you know I’m poking him he’s just ignoring me like mad and I thought that’s not good, you know, because you don’t want your four year-old to have learned that you should, that it’s okay to ignore the adults, or that you should ignore the adults, or that you can ignore the adults. That’s all BAD because the world’s full of adults and they know a lot of things and they control all the resources and so you BETTER GET ALONG WITH THEM
[…]
So you know if you want to protect your child against the beast that’s inside you you might want to teach them to treat you with some respect so that you’re much more likely to be a civilized human being around them.

Patroclus · 15/07/2019 23:17

Yep the weirdos anger issues ae well documented

CalamBalam · 15/07/2019 23:18

Cathy Newman still gets trolled by Peterson's creepy little incel acolytes.

Samcotton85 · 16/07/2019 11:06

Absolutely love him! It's very refreshing to have someone who speaks truth with such inelegance these days. He dresses well and is unafraid to tell people how it is. Marvellous!

Samcotton85 · 16/07/2019 11:08

He and his daughter also put their autoimmune diseases into remission with the carnivore diet which I find an inspiration. My friend has Crohns and I keep telling her to try it.

CalamBalam · 16/07/2019 11:26

'he dresses well'

Well in that case!

Patroclus · 16/07/2019 13:47

The SS dressed beautifully.

Patroclus · 16/07/2019 13:48

For fucks sake do not tell your friend to try it.

gamerwidow · 16/07/2019 13:52

Nasty right wing crackpot.
Sure being child free in your 3os and 40s maybe have its own benefits
Well probably many
But as you hit 45/50 plus you will feel that lack of having your own family

Women know your place!you’re only fulfilled if you have kids. Don’t worry about all the research saying unmarried child free women are happier. You make sure you fulfill your biological duty.

Time40 · 16/07/2019 14:11

How do you get all that from the quoted statement, pp? You're reading into it what you want to see in it (as people so often do with JP).

Soola · 16/07/2019 14:16

@Time40 left wingers only see what they want to see and read into whatever nonsense they want to believe.

Patroclus · 16/07/2019 14:45

Yes, the right never lie about read into or make pure shit up about 'no go zones', immigrants stealing jobs and benefits, sharia law, abortion limits, crime supposedly massively rising, the youth apparently being more and more out of control, University 'bias', statistics on domestic violence towards men, 'health tourism', Hillsborough, crimes in the british army, the scale of islamic extremism, single mothers, the police etc. etc. etc.

Your main newspapers are the Sun and Dail Mail.

PerkingFaintly · 16/07/2019 15:19

Grin Have you read that long Peterson excerpt I linked, Time40?

No one here comes close to Peterson's inventive "reading into things."

He just completely made shit up about the neighbour's child – that this 4-yr-old's parents (and presumably the nanny too!) had given up feeding him at age 9 months. How the child was still alive wasn't explained, but anyway...

He then used this bizarre, completely fictional backstory as a teaching point to support his claim that... well it was difficult to make out, but it definitely came down to Him Saviour, Woman Bad.

PerkingFaintly · 16/07/2019 15:25

Honestly, if the rest of Peterson's Grand Teachings About Humanity are that well supported by facts...

Well, let's just say it's a good thing he does steal his aphorisms and little teachings from people who are a bit brighter than him, and have a slightly better grasp of human behaviour than him...

Soola · 16/07/2019 15:28

@Patroclus triggered, much? 🙄

CalamBalam · 16/07/2019 15:41

'triggered'
'snowflake'
'butthurt'

Such predictable tripe.

MollyButton · 16/07/2019 15:56

Actually if we are going to be evidenced based - some of the research which has been claimed to show unmarried women are happier has been shown to be flawed in its methodology.

My personal belief is some people want kids and are happier with them - and some are perfectly happy without kids.
(Now where is my fat publishing contract and lecture tour for "Molly's wisdom"?)
