Takeaway disappointment

I got a Chinese despite knowing I shouldn't be eating one and I can't really afford it. It came from a place I've been going to for years. They've either changed supplier, or are cost cutting, or both. This has been regarded as the best Chinese in the area. Every single thing I ordered was very different to usual and not even nice, to the point where I'm considering throwing it away and I never throw food away. I should never have ordered it.

On the upside, I won't be tempted again.

Oh what a shame. Have a Wine to make up for it.

Same for us last time we got a Chinese. I just didn't like any of it.

Uggg. That’s always the worst, and it seems like such a non-problem but it does just ruin the evening. When we moved a year ago (to a place I despise but that’s besides the point) we didn’t have everything unpacked yet but we were starving, so we ordered curry as a treat. The place had great reviews, but for whatever reason it was awful. The delivery man was late. And rude. The rice was under cooked and the curry was 90% grease with a bit of cumin. I called and got our money back then went to taco bell. At that point it was about 9pm and I was ready to stab the group of students waiting for their food.

We know never to order Chinese food anywhere else but our favourite one. If it ever changes I guess we will have to switch to Thai food all the time instead. We like lots of fresh vegetables and proper house made sauces. ( along with the crispy deep fried battered pork) nothing worse than bad Chinese food.

This is why we no longer order take away. Everything always makes us feel ill and bloated! You can make your own to your taste at a fraction of the cost and feel great for it. It took years but we eventually saw the light!
