Just been looking at my pegs on the washing line. They're looking old, faded and a tad rusty. Does anyone have any recommendations for some bright and shiny new ones that will cheer my washdays?

Sorry in advance 😐

I got some nice ones from Aldi, plastic but strong and they don't snap when you ling them like the fuckers from asda. I'm bored....so bored....Grin

Oh maaaan. I clicked on the link. Because I wanted to. Because I like nice pegs. Is there no hope for me any more???
(they are very nice, cheery ones though. DH bought some wooden ones the other day and I nearly cried)

TheSandman · 13/07/2019 20:16

Seriously? They're pegs. Use them till they're broken.

FrenchyQ · 13/07/2019 20:20

I've just bought a pack of Minky sure grip ones from Tesco, they are pretty colours and don't leaves marks on your clothes

cookiechomper · 13/07/2019 20:25

My pegs always go missing...I bought some fish shaped ones from Primark I think..

Incacat2 · 13/07/2019 20:53

My Mother came to visit me in China. The first thing she wanted to do was to go to the local supermarket to look for PEGS.

Keeoe · 13/07/2019 20:57

Oh yes, @TheSandman, seriously indeed. Tbf I did warn you in the thread title 😁

Grin @soola

That is one helluva link - but it does work. And those pegs are pretty nice.

leafygarden · 13/07/2019 21:02

In answer to the OP - the pegs at Asda are sooo cheap I get a new pack every 2 years and they last just fine.

Keeoe · 13/07/2019 21:06

Thank you all! So many pegs, so little time 🛒

The Minky ones are brilliant (got mine from b&m). But they piss me off every time I use them because I can get a good 10 or so wooden pegs in my hand, but only 3/4 Minky. However they are nice colours and hold better, so I use them first.

andri157 · 13/07/2019 21:27

Not relevant at all but I have pink fancy toilet roll. For no reason really

andri157 · 13/07/2019 21:28

Crikey Andri that is very pink indeed!

ThisIsNotAIBUPeople · 13/07/2019 21:38

My peg basket is a mismatched thing of ugliness.

Keeoe · 13/07/2019 22:11

Now @andri157 that is some fancy loo roll. With the Mrs. Hinch tap stamp no less. You're really making the most of your Saturday night 😁

It is slightly fragranced too😂Tesco £2.50!

andri157 · 13/07/2019 23:47

( 4 rolls
For 2.50 )

historysock · 13/07/2019 23:51

I love a new Peg.... but I've still got in my peg basket some wooden ones that used to belong to my grandma so they certainly win on longevity and sentiment, if not on prettiness or strength 🤷🏽‍♀️

HasThisSoddingNameGoneToo · 13/07/2019 23:55

Get the stainless steel pegs from Amazon. They’re brilliant. They don’t snap, break or rust. They never leave marks on clothes. They’re strong enough to hold anything, even heavy wet towels. They can be left outside all winter. They’re not at all spendy and they’re ecologically sound.
