Tenerife October half term

Hoping to take DD on holiday in October half term (26th Oct) and thought Tenerife looked ideal but I’m struggling to choose a resort.

Any advice? I was looking at the Blue Sea Costa Jardin in Puerto de la Cruz but I’m worried the north side of the island won’t to be warm enough for DD who loves to spend a lot of time in the pool.

Would Costa Adeje be better on the south side of the island at that time of year? Anybody stayed at Laguna Park 1 apartments?

The south side is usually warmer, north of the island is colder and wetter. I usually stay in Playa De Las Americas, sand beach, some excellent restaurants, Siam water park and the Aquila animal park is nearby.

Have a look at Playa de l’Arena or Los Gigantes. It’s north of Costa Adeje but has a lovely microclimate, clean black sand beaches, good for swimming even at Christmas. Not a huge resort, but has everything you need.

We've been to Costa Adeje several times at October half term and the weather is lovely.

Currently in Costa Adeje with my daughter. It’s very hot this time of year but probably lovely in October. It’s our third year running here. Lovely place, lovely people, very clean and I feel safe. Being safe was one of my holiday worries when it is just me and my daughter.

I also say the south of the island. We went last October and the temperature was perfect. We did want to go up teide but it was too windy there though and everything was closed.

We've stayed in Southern Tenerife for the October break a number of times and the weather is generally just right for us in low 20s. I've never stayed in the North but I do believe its a few degrees colder .

Thanks everyone, I think I’ll stick to the south of the island.

Did you go last year rookiemere.
It was 34 and melting but it was first two weeks in October.

Dowser not last year, but we have been in October 5 times over the past 10 years. On occasion it's been slightly chilly ( we stay at a place in the hills) but never too hot .
