present idea for 40yo man??

Just wondered if anyone has any great ideas for mate's birthday present, which I need to get this AM. Single, 40, complicated relationship with alcohol so my fallback of decent booze is out. Have previously bought restaurant/deli vouchers but wanted to get something different. £50 budget.

Would never have thought of that! I might have a look, would be surprised if it comes in on budget though.

Nice aftershave - if you know his preference?
Some fancy shaving cream/aftershave balm - L’Occtaine so some lovely men’s grooming stuff.
Is he a foodie? If so, go to an Italian deli shop for some fancy bits and pieces that you could make into a hamper - balsamic vinegar, biscotti, good coffee, chocolate, truffle oil, etc.

I'm not sure of aftershave preferences but grooming stuff is a good shout. I will have a look at L'occitane.
