What is cheap to mix with gin on a night out?

Rarely go out as money is tight and gin + tonic is expensive

Is there anything cheaper?

Lemonade?

Pretendapony · 12/07/2019 22:45

You could have a nice flavoured one with just ice.

funkycoldmedina19 · 12/07/2019 22:46

Soda, ice and some fresh fruit (lemons/limes/watermelon)

Is Soda cheaper than tonic?

I used to love a vodka and soda in my youth :)

Where I live its works out about £3 a pint and £5 for a G&T

Vodka lime and soda

Passtherioja · 12/07/2019 23:17

Is this to go with a bottle of gin in your bag? 👍🏻🥂🤣

HUZZAH212 · 12/07/2019 23:28

Soda, lemonade, coke. Anything on tap will always be cheaper than an individual bottle for obvious reasons.

hartof · 12/07/2019 23:31

Bitter lemon. Or lemonade and they usually put some fruit in

hartof · 12/07/2019 23:33

£5 G&T is cheap I don't think even Wetherspoons would do it cheaper

SamBeckett · 13/07/2019 09:53

Gin and postmix diet coke with fresh lime

NerrSnerr · 13/07/2019 09:59

It's the gin that makes it expensive, not the mixer!

Hi, I actually own a pub so this is a subject I know quite well. In my pub the soda is a lot cheaper than tonic because the soda is on tap and the tonic is bottled. I charge £3.10 for a measure of gin and then soda from the tap is 50p. However with tonic it’s around £4.60

GreenwoodLane · 13/07/2019 10:34

Raspberry lemonade. Sell it i spoons. Lush.

GreenwoodLane · 13/07/2019 10:34

Sorry, in spoons

Lemonade is what my student DD has in her gin on nights out. She says it is significantly cheaper than tonic.

chuffnstuff · 13/07/2019 11:28

Soda is free in most pubs. I always have soda as I'm not prepared to pay £2.30 for a small bottle of Fevertree tonic!! Soda to the top of the gin balloon glass and it'll last you even longer!

Obviouspretzel · 13/07/2019 12:11

Wetherspoons absolutely do do it cheaper.
