I am learning Korean for years, could try and translate that if still needed...

That's very kind of you - we have the gist of it though. This is probably very ignorant, but is Korean a completely different language from Chinese or Japanese? Obviously Korea has a border with China and has been occupied by the Japanese in the past.

It is a different language. Korean also has a distinct set of characters. Google is a useful way to find out about other cultures if you can't usually access them in your daily life. I would love to personally experience Korea but have yet to :(
