Hello I have just opened my own cleaning business.. hoping to get help off other self employed cleaners. It's so hard starting up.. how did you all find your work?? I'm in the Burnley area.

I have put a few posters up in local shops

Any tricks would be brilliant xxx

Create a gumtree ad, I think it's around £8 for 60 days and I've had most of my interest from there. And word of mouth! Good luck!

You definitely need a Facebook business page. It’s very low cost and once you get some 5* reviews, work will soon pick up.

Google business is also an excellent, free way to advertise your business.

I’m not in anyway an IT expert, but managed to set them both up myself.

Try and keep all your advertising as professional as possible.

For my cleaning business I did leaflet drops. It was time consuming, but I got quite a lot of custom from it. A lot of people were contacting me months later because they had hung onto the leaflet 'just in case'. After about a year I never had to advertise again as customers increased via word of mouth.
