Also What we do in the Shadows, there's a film on Netflix and a series on BBC iPlayer, it's a bit like the Office but with vampires.

Ended up watching the first two episodes of Bodyguard. Wasn't blown away by it but I'll stick it out and see if it's any good, I know it had good reviews when it was on bbc.

I like a lot of different things..
loved killing eve, breaking bad, the sopranos, preacher.
Currently watching Jane the virgin as light hearted viewing when DH goes to bed Grin

Doesn't seem to be much grabbing my attention atm. Although I am looking forward to the new season of orange is the new black!

TitchyP · 10/07/2019 23:14

This is Us
Umbrella Academy

I'm halfway through both 😬

DismantleMe · 10/07/2019 23:23

Big little lies, really surprised how much I've enjoyed it.

TickleMyFanny · 10/07/2019 23:27

Gomorrah!!!!

thisisfuckingbad · 10/07/2019 23:29

When They See Us on Netflix. True story, 4 parts, utterly heartbreaking and appalling story of wrongful conviction of 5 very young black lads in New York in 1989.

louloured · 10/07/2019 23:31

loved series one of big little lies .what do you think of series 2 so far ?been watching handmaids tale but I'll have to watch it from beginning .love umberella academy can't wait for series 2 love the monkey in it lol.has anyone watched birdbox?

TheOldestCat · 10/07/2019 23:35

Loved ‘Russian Doll’ - really clever and engaging.

EskewedBeef · 10/07/2019 23:39

Recently on Netflix I've enjoyed:

When They See Us - excellent acting.
Good Girls - new series just out, but you'd need to watch series 1 to understand what's happening.
Broken - Sean Bean is so good in it, and I'm not usually a fan of his.

ElizaPancakes · 10/07/2019 23:39

Dark on Netflix is amazing, but German so not something to zone out to!
Seven Seconds on Netflix. Not a true story but it's a similar vein to When They See Us.

Preacher on Amazon. So surprised but I loved it! Really well thought out storylines and excellent acting.
Life in Pieces on Amazon, surprisingly funny American sitcom.

@louloured I've watched Birdbox and liked it, a million times better than the book.

louloured · 11/07/2019 00:08

oh didn't know there was a book lol .I'm a sucker for comparing books to the tv or movies or vice versa .haven't read a book for ages though and I nag my kids to read more oops.afterlife was so sad but hilarious in places I had a few tears during that series .

fernandoanddenise · 11/07/2019 00:13

Russian Doll! Really really excellent

electricmoogalo · 11/07/2019 00:14

Curfew on sky surprising funny and a bit grim at the same time

DeadDoorpost · 11/07/2019 00:20

The Thick of It (may not be to your liking but it's a suggestion)
My DSis says Santa Clarita Diet

I really liked Atypical but that may be because it resonated with me.

TheyCallMeMellowYellow · 11/07/2019 07:45

Ooh, I've seen Russian doll, the umbrella academy and Santa Clarita diet (which has been cancelled! BOOO!)

Bad Blood on Netflix. Is about the Canadian Mob which sounds a tad derivative but the 2 male lead actors are really good. And I’m not usually a fan of mafia stuff. Confused
