Carer's Allowance in the US?

My MIL has given up work to care for my FIL who is in his 80's and has Parkinson's and is now declining. He needs round the clock care, including help in the shower, waking etc. He has a walker (zimmer frame) now.

She was only working part time (he has a good pension) but it will have an impact allthe same.

Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to the carer's allowance in the US that she could apply for? They're in PA.
