Double city mini buggy buses

Does anyone know if this buggy fits on a bus? Secondly, if it doesn't, can anyone tell me what buggies do fit but are also a smooth ride and relatively nice to push.

Anyone on here this evening who may know?

So far I've only had one bus it won't fit on. Small buses are fine but a bit of a squeeze, double deckers without a middle/back entrance are too small and I have to fold. Any buses with a back/middle entrance are nice and roomy.

What age children will be using it? I have a young baby and a young toddler, I always take a sling under the buggy in case I have to fold and use a backpack changing bag with clips to hang on the handle. It's easy to fold and not to heavy to move about. The only one smaller I know of is the OutandAbout double but my lads are quite sturdy so they wouldn't have been as comfortable in it. I love my city mini, and highly recommend it

Mountain Buggy Duet fits on all buses and is a nice smooth ride.

Got one I'm going to clean to sell soon if you want it Smile

I had one and never had any issues with getting on the bus with it. Nice and light and easy to manoeuvre too.

FairyJuice · 10/07/2019 21:56

Mine always fit on the bus, and through shop doors/aisles. Love love loved it. Folds up nice and tidy too.

Was sad when I had to swap it for a out n about double because I was having dc3, and needed a double that would comfortably take a buggy board. The out n about is way clunkier, harder to fold, doesn't fit on the bus, awkward and bulky when folded. It is easier to push and steer than the bj, though not by much.

Thanks for all your help. I already have the buggy, fits in the car nicely but people had said it won't fit on the bus so have never wanted to try! I do love the buggy but the lack of knowing if it will fit on a bus was letting it down. We use a sling a lot too but child is getting older and heavier and it would need to fit on the bus for long days.

dappled where abouts are you? They are my dream buggy but I'm not sure it will fit in my car :( but I could try a friends to see. PM me your rough location and price if you like? But sadly i do think itll be too big for my car :(

Hmmm maybe it was the mountain buggy I was thinking of as being smaller?! It's been a while since I was looking into it.

I don't know where you are but any time I've had to fold for a bus here I've had no end of offers of help from other passengers and friendly bus drivers telling me to take my time. I wouldn't panic if you can't fit, but honestly apart from one double decker I've always sys managed to get on without an issue.

Have PMd. First time I've done that so hope it works!

I had the mychild easy twin. It's a side by side one and we bought the bassinet too. It is 2cm slimmer than a standard wheelchair so if your bus has wheelchair access it will fit. It also has a handle that folds in so will fit in the normal buggy bit.

This one.

@WellLetsSayHesSquare I'm trying to find more info about this buggy - it looks really good but not much info out there on it. How have you found it?

CooCooCoo · 21/01/2020 19:08

The city mini fits fine on a double bus , i love it!!!!

WellLetsSayHesSquare · 21/01/2020 19:09

I dont have it anymore as child too old now but I loved it. So easy to push and really slim. Was quite heavy if your taking it in and out of a car. I will say the seats are quite narrow. My children are both super tiny and fitted comfortably but I can imagine some 'sturdier' children may feel a bit squished if there wearing a coat. I can send you some pics of it in use if you like?

DappledThings · 21/01/2020 20:03

I read the thread title and came on to say Mountain Buggy Duet then saw I'd already said that in July! I no longer have one to sell so have no skin in the game now but I would still recommend it and there was never any size bus I couldn't get it on

BlueRaincoat89 · 22/01/2020 14:22

@WellLetsSayHesSquare Thanks for the info. It sounds a lot like the Mountain Buggy Duet, just a lot better value. It'd be great if you could send some pics.
