Does sudafed help Hay-fever?

I can't work out if I have a cold or Hay-fever but I feel dreadful - sore throat, runny itchy nose, itchy eyes all worse that the last weeks of Hay-fever hell. I can't find Puriton, am already mainlining cetrizine so am considering sudafed.

Will it work?

It should help with the congestion, whether it’s hayfeaver or a cold, though it won’t do anything for the itchy eyes etc. If you get a chance to get to a chemist, speak to the pharmacist. I take Benadryl allergy relief plus, which is antihistamines and a decongestant together. I find it’s the only thing that works to make summer bearable. Hope you’re feeling better soon!

fexofenadine. I saw this recommended on MN, got it on prescription for DD and it's been a life changer. Have been recommending it to hay fever sufferers at work and it seems to be doing the trick.
