Hi, feel stupid asking this I just don’t know what to do at all. I split with my husband (no cheating or anything like that) truth be told he annoyed me and I ended up punching him in the face, which I really regret, this happened 3 years ago. I moved to a friend’s to let things calm down and so the trouble was away from the children After a month and a half he moved a new girlfriend in.
I left with nothing apart from my clothes in a few bags and was only working part time.
I got a job straight away as a manager, it was two months in hand though. Mu money was really tight at the time. I offered him more than he wanted in maintenance yet he went to CMS to get at me. I have had the kids every second weekend without fail. I got a diploma and a few pay rises in this three years, there has never been arguing there or any trouble and I have an amazing bond with my children. I have finally got to the point where I have a property and am trying to up my access to a week of every month instead of every second weekend. The CMS are trying to take more money off me which will stop me doing this. I have worked alot of overtime to get to this point. Is there anything I can do about the money? This has taken all of my energy to get this point and the CMS are acting like they just don’t care. This is mine and my children's life and they are just pure cold about it. I thought they were supposed to have the interests of the children as a priority. My ex won’t call them off because he knows he's getting more. Him and his partner have turned traveller religious too. Everything I do is the devil. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to protect and save my last chance of spending more time with my children? I can’t afford to have more money taken from me because it will stop me getting the house which means I can’t have the children for a week at a time. I just don’t know where to turn and I really can’t afford solicitors. TIA
