In what ways did your siblings prank/torture you as a child? (lighthearted)

My sister loved to prank me when I was younger. She was 4 years older than me and I was pretty gormless so she found pranking me easy.

The ones I remember clearly. I was sitting eating an orange, fiddling with it and everytime I squeezed a bit of it she would squirt me with a water gun from across the room. I thought all the liquid was coming from the orange! (I don't get how I didn't taste it was water, and how she just happened to have a water gun on her)

Bursting cod liver oil capsules and rubbing it on doorknobs.

When I was sitting down she would sneak up behind me and hover her hand above my head. It would make my head/hair feel weird and when I would put my hand up to feel my head, she would grab it and I would shit myself.

Sewing the head and feet of my pajamas closed.

Not a prank, but equally as evil. When I was 10 my friends mum invited me on an outing with her daughter as a birthday present for me. Turns out, just taking me out was the present and she wanted money for what she organised. I was really embarrassed to tell my parents so borrowed the money from my sister. I couldn't pay my sister back so instead I had to dance as payment, when and where she wanted in the style of her choosing.... It was mostly reggae style dancing as that was popular when I was a kid.

My brother did a few, but the best was when I was a teenager. I'd watched the film Psycho, and the next time I went into the shower, the water came out blood red and freaked me out. He'd unscrewed the top of the shower head and filled it with red food colouring Grin

@magicstar it's amazing the effort they put into carrying out the prank🤣

Too many to think of...

  • Tying our DSis2 to the lamppost in our road with dressing gown ties. Then me and DSis1 coming in when called for tea by DM only to say that we didn't know where DSis2 was... DM had to go an untie her! We got in big trouble for that one.
  • DSis1 and DSis2 changed my curtain hooks for frozen prawns... took me days to figure out why it smelt so awful in there!
  • Filling my Dsis's fav cereal box with ketchup.
  • Covering DSis1's door frame with celloptape so she walked straight into it in the morning - DSis2 was the brain behind this one.
  • DSis 1 & 2 put food colouring in my foundation bottle!
  • Put popping candy in DSis toothpaste
  • Me and DM switching round my DSis's bedrooms whilst they were out. That one was hilarious!

But my absolute fav was the whole family being round for dinner and we had scampi. My DSis2 HATES fish, but she was given scampi anyway. She commented that the 'chicken nuggets' didn't taste right.. the whole family went on to say how weird that was as ours was fine. And convinced her it was chicken... Still to this day she hasn't forgiven us for that one and it comes up every xmas. :D

@tizzytess I like the fact your mum gets in on the pranking🤣

Oh gosh my DM has done some of the best pranks when we were little. She grew up as the youngest of 7 so i think she felt it was only fair to prank us as she was pranked so much growing up!

TizzyTess · 09/07/2019 14:39

Oh one of hers was covering out bedroom floors with sand... because we were moaning that we wanted to go to the beach and not school. So she brought the beach to us! We were still finding sand months later!

I used to send my little sister out on fake errands when we were playing monopoly. Then I'd take some of her money, or top mine off from the bank. Unsurprisingly I always won. I confessed in my toast at her wedding.

I just really like winning 🤷‍♀️

FindaPenny · 09/07/2019 14:41

@tizzytess my dad is like that too. When I was about 5 my dad and sister woke me in the night to tell me I had missed my birthday!

My evil sister put my alarm clock which make the noise of a cockerel crowing and told you in a loud American voice it was time to get up into my schoolbag set to go off in registration.

FindaPenny · 09/07/2019 14:43

@tizzytess, that actually sounds quite sweet.... I wonder if she regretted the sand everywhere.🤣

In america where they had those invisible electric fences for dogs. Cousin put the collar on my neck and told me to run down to the gate. Got electrocuted repeatedly.

Another water based one... She partially filled a water balloon, put a pin prick in it and put it in her mouth. We were sat next to each other and she kept squirting me with it, but I couldn't figure out where the water was coming from.... No idea how she kept a straight face!
