Sats results

Can I tell you about ds sats results? He scored 109, 106 and 101. I'm absolutely ecstatic, he attends an sen school where students generally don't sit them. He was not expected to do them but we said for him to just have a go.
I know others will say I'm bragging but I don't care, theres not anyone else irl who I can tell.

Well done to your son. You are very welcome to come on here and have your moment which is difficult to do in real life!

You must be thrilled.

Well done to your son, bragging totally allowed!

BishopBrennansArse · 09/07/2019 11:47

So pleased for you. We don't have DD's yet.

Letsgotospain · 09/07/2019 11:50

BishopBrennansArse I only know because his head rang me to say, all the staff are very pleased too. Thank you everyone.

Well done to your DS.

frugalkitty · 09/07/2019 11:57

That's lovely! Well done your DS. We haven't had ours yet, must be soon then.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 09/07/2019 12:07

That's fantastic achievement. Well done to your DS.

We've not had our results yet. DD is unlikely to have met the standard. She is at a mainstream school and has no SEN but has just always struggled even though we've paid for extra tuition ( 2 hours a week) for the last two years. I'm hoping that her new secondary school will give her more support than her primary has.

Letsgotospain · 09/07/2019 12:36

Angel's, I hope your daughter receives any help that she needs. Unfortunately most funding for any additional support that she may needs seems to not exist. I really do hope that she gets a chance from someone.

101, 106, 98... that's from being at a year 2 level in year 4.....

bibliomania · 09/07/2019 17:19

Well done to your ds, and brag away!

magicroundabouts · 09/07/2019 17:26

Congratulations!!!! That is brilliant news.

DCIRozHuntley · 09/07/2019 17:28

dawnc27 · 09/07/2019 17:32

dawnc27 · 09/07/2019 17:33

oh! very well done to your dc by the way, sorry that was rather rude to post about my dc whilst totally ignoring the OP

BishopBrennansArse · 09/07/2019 18:13

DD also autistic, Dawn. So chuffed for you, too

Letsgotospain · 10/07/2019 12:48

Thank you so much everyone!
DCI, the results go from 80-120, 100 is the national average for their year.

ChittyChittyBoomBoom · 10/07/2019 12:53

That’s fantastic, well done to him!

Letsgotospain · 10/07/2019 12:54

Bishop and dawn, especially for you, well done. Our ds had the most horrible year in year 4, we thought he may have been permanently excluded from the school he attends. We had so many meetings, strategies, reports etc that it was always the consensus that he would struggle.
In year 5 and 6 he got a teacher who "gets" him and this is where we are now. Hopefully it won't be undone in secondary school.

BurnedToast · 10/07/2019 12:54

Well done to your son. Smile

ChicCroissant · 10/07/2019 12:58

Congratulations OP, can I just point out that the mark for working 'at greater depth' is 110, he was so close! I'm not surprised the teachers are chuffed as well, he's done brilliantly!

AngelsWithSilverWings · 19/07/2019 16:14

I've got my DDs results now and I'm so proud of her. She got 100 in English , 95 reading and 99 in maths ( so close!)

Her new Secondary school have already committed to two hours of one to one support per week to bring her up to standard. With those scores it won't take much to get her there.

She's going to be just fine! I'm so so happy.

Titsywoo · 19/07/2019 16:40

Ah well done! Last year my DS got almost exactly the same results as your DS. 2 years before that he was at least 2 years behind and they were saying to me he doesn't have to sit them (he had just been diagnosed ASD at that point) but I said no he should sit them and he suddenly surged ahead in Y6 (great teacher!). He's just finished year 7 and has loved it and done very well.
